Jimmie Dodd didn't age a minute between this and
MMC in '56. Never seemed to have lost his (at least public) optimism. Boyish looks and naivete
will take you far in the Wonderful World of Disney, right, Dick?
By the way, did anybody else notice that this was a rear-screen projection print?? They would set up a projector in a field behind a sheet with the auience on the other side. Right was Left and vice-versa. "dnE ehT" gives it away every time. I flipped it, and it's a whole new way of lookin'at things. Better after re-syching the lost 5 frames, too.
I think it's worth at least a 4 for Nostalgia Value.

Great song with a slight patriotic bent, 'Just what the country needs" features a guy (with a slight Hitler look) being upstaged by a pretty brunette. who says we need more kisses! More moonlight! More romance!! Everyone agrees and starts to sing along! Hoo-ray for democracy!
